What belongs in a hotel gym planning brief?
Bring the operating brief, room survey, access route and building interfaces together before fixing an equipment layout. The equipment list is only one part of a usable fitness room.
What the hotel operating brief establishes
Record the intended guest experience, supervision arrangements, opening pattern and who manages the room. Ask what staff must inspect, clean and reset. Put accessibility requirements into the brief for the qualified design team to resolve.
Separate measured conditions from assumptions. Label any drawing that is awaiting a survey. A concept layout does not prove structural capacity, ventilation, electrical suitability or local approval.
Why the delivery route belongs in the plan
- Room dimensions, columns, doors and fixed obstructions.
